20' Long Nile Crocodile 6811
Believed to live 100 years. 11" at birth, they utter squeaking noises from inside hard-shelled egg in nest at river bank. Mother opens nest & assists baby to water, often carrying it in her mouth. Baby is able to fend for itself once in water but stays protected at shoreline. Males not sexually active until over 9' long
